Everyone has to face a mountain at some point in their life. For many, their uncontrollable spending has built up a mountain of debt, for others it may be a deadly disease, loss of a job, or many other troubles that life can bring. We cannot control what happens to us, but we can control what happens in us, which is our attitude towards the situation. This is where the power of the tongue comes into play. Affirmations written down on paper, which are declarations, can be a powerful tool in your daily life. But even before you begin writing down your affirmations, you can begin using your imagination to visualize yourself as victorious. Visualize yourself at your fullest potential. See yourself as a mighty businessman/woman who is able to give to impact the lives of those less fortunate. One who is able to lift people up and to give guidance. Once you have done this, begin writing down on paper who you want to be. Write down exactly what you desire and want to accomplish. Like I said, everyone will have to face a mountain at some point in their life and that mountain may seem impossible to climb. You will have to speak to the mountain. Jesus said in Mark 11:23 “Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him.“
Why you should write your declarations early in the morning?
What is special about waking up before everyone and why so early? In 2012, businessinsider.com wrote an article about successful CEOs who wake up early and what they actually do so early in the morning. You would be shocked how early they actually get up and why. I’d like to share with you my personal reasons for why waking up early will help you in becoming successful. One of the main reasons why mediocre people sleep in and don’t see the value of waking up early is because they have nothing to offer the world. They offer no solutions to the environment they live in and therefore, they are in some ways, useless. You have to realize that you are defined by what you do. Most people allow their day to define them at the moment they walk into work. For example, if you wake up at 6:30 am and you have to be at work by 8 am, then you will be finding yourself rushing. And we all know that rushing into work is not a good thing. You need to see the value of investing in yourself. If you do not see yourself as a valuable asset then you are not worth anything more than what you do. Investing in yourself is PRIORITY! It is your duty to become a better person, a better husband/wife, a better father/mother, a better employee, a better businessman/woman. You need to be better, period! If you’ve been reading any of my other posts, you’ll notice that I like to quote from books that I have read. Begin your early morning by reading a book. As you read, you will discover quotes that you can use to declare over your life. The average millionaire reads a non-fiction book a month. Most books that I have read are about 13 chapters long. You can read a chapter a day! Begin to soak in and digest all the information in the book. There is knowledge within books that many people today are looking for yet are not finding because they are not reading. Read about history and what lead successful people to become who they were in their time. When your brain begins to soak in information you will begin to think differently. Trust me, you will! When I read “Think and Grow Rich” in the summer of 2015, I began to envisioning myself as a wealthy man. I began to dreaming up ways to become rich and wealthy. I began to write my visions and talents down on paper and began to declare them over my life. I did all of this before 6:00 AM. You will be surprised how much you will get done in 45 minutes. You will be surprised at what your mind will begin to come up with early in the morning. Thoughts and inspirations that will carry you into your divine destiny. Begin to think of yourself in a position that will bring fulfillment and satisfaction. Once you begin thinking these inspiring thoughts, begin to write them down! See yourself as God sees you; successful and influential to those around you. Too often we see ourselves just as plain old employees. Stop thinking about that! Begin writing down things like “I am Great! I am Talented! I am a Joseph! People will come and seek the heavenly wisdom that God has given me. I am wealthy. I am disciplined. God is going to open doors that no man can shut! I am a giver. I am not greedy. God is bringing the right people towards me. I am going to fulfill my destiny!” If you will begin writing thing down like this and speaking them over your life, I promise you that things will begin to change. But you have to be persistent. Keep on doing this every morning or every chance you get throughout your day. Declare the goodness of God in your life and watch how things begin to turn around for you.
