Hello. My name is Alejandro Vasquez and I started this page because I found myself at a crossroads in life. But before I start there, let share with you where I am from. I was born and raised on the South Side of San Antonio by a loving family. My dad has always been an entrepreneur by working as a mechanic while working in construction. He is the definition of hard work ethic which all of us learned from. My mother is the definition of creativity. She always was creative with what she was given. Always pursuing something and she made the best out of what she has done. My brother Jonathan and I did everything together and we even started a band in high school. My sister Marlena takes after both my Dad and Mom. She is a determined individual and yet she is very creative. She can make anything turn out to be something quite beautiful.
I have always been a dreamer. Since I was young, I used to always use my imagination myself as a paleontologist. Always looking for dinosaur bones. As I got into my teens, I wanted to become a guitarist for a big heavy metal band. The point is we all dream and we should never stop dreaming. As I graduated high school, I felt lost in what I actually wanted to do in life. With not much going on, I found myself at a crossroads in my life. I was working as a forklift driver for a alcohol distributor and everyone around me was older and barely making ends meet. I knew this wasn't what life had to be so I joined the United States Navy that would send me to places that I used to read about as a kid. My time in the United States Navy was an adventure and I have never regretted that decision.
In 2002, I was stationed on board the USS RONALD REAGAN CVN 76 where I am a Plankowner. I met my beautiful wife Stephanie and we have been married for 12 years and have 3 beautiful children with another on the way. When I got out of my first contract with the US NAVY, I came home to discover that most of my high school buddies still doing the same thing. Shortly after being home I decided to go to school in Florida where I graduated with a degree in Recording Arts and later in Internet Marketing. When I came back home from graduation in 2008, I worked as a Video Editor for a large non-profit for 8 1/2 years.
